Yes. Was watching a pretty unimpressive Fins-Jets game and the
Mrs asked if I could accompany her to the supermarket. So I
missed all the scoring. damn. The Jets have been fun to follow.
Their coach is like a car crash, I cant look away.

Most of my co-workers here in the office are Jet fans so I always
get to bust on them (Jets, Mets, Nets... not like they ever
really have much to cheer about!!!). I'm curious to see how many
you guys put up on the fins when they visit next weekend.

All I know is the first rule of defending the Wildcat: At first
show of wildcat, call a time out.
Ricky Williams scares me. They guy is a tough runner with some
milage left.

face a real team...

Never trust a player that shoots his way out of town, like
cutler. Orton looks pretty good with a new coach.

Not so fast...stranger things have happened.
(although they really did deserve to loose yesterday against SD)

Yesterday's news Paul. Its in the past man!! As a Pats fan, I
hate the Giants and the Chargers. My kids know I am in a pick-em
pool and when we were watching that SD-NYG game, they asked who
I'm rooting for. I said a bomb, short of that I picked the Giants
but was still happy the Chargers won. Now if Merriman had only
blown out his knee during his lights out dance, my afternoon
would have been complete.

It's nice to remember 07....[grin]
The Giants (NFC) and the Chargers (AFC) are my two favorite teams
Rich.
It's amazing that you and I remain -like- awesome buds, since I am
also a Yanks fan...
Are you a Knicks and Laker hater too?
Agian the Giants deserved to loose that game and although there is
still a good amount of season left I would also be surprised to see
them make the playoffs
Okay so what is the deal with everytime Steve Smith catching the
ball he falls down? Can the guy just run like 5 yards before he
falls down?

You are in trouble then. That is a petty varied fandom. I suppose
you are from NY? Bigger Jets hater as they are in the same Div as
the Pats. Lots of old timers up here are Giants fans as that was
the team before the AFL. Most though are dying off.
Hate the Lakers, dont care about the Knicks. But I'm not the NBA
fan I used to be.

J E T S JETS JETS JETS!!!
hahahah
Just kidding. I haven't watched any football the past two weeks,
which is kind of a bummer, I was getting into it. Gives me
something to do until the UConn b-ball gets going.

The Jets lost again? Oh snap. They looked so good at the beginning
of the season, and it's not like they played crappy teams. Sanchez
must have zero confidence right now.

I'm going total media blackout this week. Sports radio is ugly
around here today. That said, I dont disagree with the decision.
Get 2 yards and the game is over. The defense was doing ok but they
were missing TullyBantaCain and were looking gassed in the 2nd
half. I dont think Faulk bobbled the ball. I also beleive he caught
it at the 30 which should have been good enough for a 1st down.
Looks like Welker was open a few yards down the field (angry face).
Then again, Maroney doesnt fumble, and the Pats would have had been
up plenty enough. Then again, if Sammy Morris wasnt injured, he
would have gotten 2 yards easy.
So they may have blown a shot for home field through the playoffs.
I'm not so scared about the Pats playing there in the playoffs.
Next up, the Jets.

It seems like the NFL officials have been screwing up left and
right this season...are they downing one too many bloody mary's
before game time or maybe becoming too pychologically dependant on
instant replay?
Jets are gonna have a hard time not getting blown out this
weekend...
btw Rich, yes I am from NY, Brooklyn, was bribing the ushers at YS
to move me to better seats in 4th grade... yankees madness is in my
blood even after 20 yrs in Southern CA

PS Yes, that was a weird call by BB
With his team leading by six points and just over two minutes
left in the game, he elected to go for it on fourth down on his own
side of the field. His offense failed to get the first down, and
the Indianapolis Colts promptly drove for a touchdown.
This says it all:
So hats off to Bill Belichick. This decision may have hurt his
chances for the Football Hall of Fame, but it guarantees his
induction into the Freakonomics Hall of Fame

All I know is the Browns play the Lions Sunday and even though we
have no chance what so ever of scoring an offensive touchdown we
may still win. An article I read online sums it up: "..none of that
guarantees anything except a dull boring low scoring contest."
Ahh... a low scoring contest not even worthy of being called a
game.... Awesome season Browns.

Sorry Lindsey, maybe someone will streak on the field or
something...maybe you should go over to the Pats end of the field
with Rich...pretty good chance that they will go far in the
playoffs (they control their own destiny, if that makes sense)
Miami and someone else plays tonight.... does anyone care?

Lindsey...If Mangini did not piss off Belichek so much, maybe he
would have loaned him some extra touchdowns this weekend.
They should have had this game in September and then the
Indians/Tigers could play at the same time and see which sport
can score more points.
