So my wife had been bothering me to get a flu shot. The CVS minute clinic near my office hasn't had any doses since the begining of Oct. Seems like they are done trying to get doses. Getting ready to leave the office here and a note was posted by the elevator for a flu clinic in my building. There is a visiting nurse agency on the top floor and they had extra doses to despence. Now Im working them to see if they have any H1N1.

I'm almost considering getting the h1n1 vaccine... I hear nothing but nasty stuff about this strain, but I'm otherwise healthy... so, I think I'll take my chances. If I do get the vaccine, it will be in a dire situation, I think.

Are a lot of kids up your way sick with it? They are closing schools down in CT. Weird to have so many kids out.

Seasonal Flu Clinic in my Building on Fri 11/13. 10am-1pm. $25 for the shot, cash or check. This clinic is provided by the visiting nurses who are tenants here. While $25 for shot is a bit, you walk in, get shot and walk out. Literally in and out in a few minutes. Towns around me have been cancelling or cutting short their free clinics due to demand.

I'm still not sold on the vaccine. I have heard this particular strain of the flu is awful... but I'm just not into getting unneeded shots. The last vaccine I got was a tetanus booster- needed it because I cut myself pretty bad in a not-so-healthy environment (attic, construction zone). Tetanus, bad. Swine flu... not that bad. Let us know if you get it Rich, you can be our guinea pig!!!!

Swine Flu vaccine is nowhere to be found. Our pediatrician had some and by the time we called to make appt for their clinic, there was none left. Going without it. I think the high priority for Swine flu vaccine is pregnant woman, kids, and people who work with kids. My wife works for a school system, but even they have no vaccines. I've stopped looking. If the visiting nurses here could get some then I will get it, otherwise I have no time to look for it.
